Gympie, Lake Alford Birds #1

Friday December 4, John Abbott and I departed Hervey Bay at 04:00 to drive down to Gympie (90 minutes). We got a coffee at McDonalds then went on down to Lake Alford Park in Monkland, southern Gympie. There we spent nearly 3 hours watching and photographing some of the myriad and diverse bird life in and around the lake. Then it was time to go to find a place in Gympie to have breakfast and then to drive back to Hervey Bay.
